7th June The Humberston School 2009
Well what can we say, thank you to whoever was looking down on us with the weather on the show day as we nearly escaped with no rain!
The cars rolled into a somewhat blustery school grounds ready for the show and we were ready for them, it was an awesome site when all the cars rolled in groups and the sounds of the cars was heaven to any real petrol head.
I was enjoying every moment of the cars rolling in and enjoyed seeing the Scottish Skyline owners.com guys arrive safely after there somewhat long drive or as they called it “Charity road trip” The sound of all the big Skylines was awesome as they rumbled in and the grounds soon started to look quite full. Then the super cars were arriving and they consisted of 2 Ferrari’s, a TVR, 2 Noble’s, an Audi R8, an Audi RS6 a Shelby Mustang and a Dodge Ram truck.
We had all sorts of beautiful vintage and classic cars arriving as well ranging from a 1908 Riley up to eighties classics, an Audi and a Mk2 Ford Escort. Arriving later was a bunch of Morris minor enthusiasts and also 2 beautiful replica American midget and circuit racers which really looked and sounded the part.
The most awaited part for me was the arrival of the BDC drift stand and cars with its drivers and I was not disappointed as the cars which turned up were all top machines from the current series and all well turned out and sounding absolutely awesome when they took it in turns to fire up the cars for the public to witness what the combine horsepower of well over 1400hp sounded like!
VIDEO OF THIS WILL APPEAR ON HERE SOON ALONG WITH OTHER SHOW FOOTAGE.
The show cars filled a very large area and as usual the standard of the cars was good and plenty of them as well, the day went very well and we had a great time with both Jo and myself feeling really proud of what we had achieved since we created this annual show back in 2000.

As we started the trophy presentation the rain started to show itself and we rushed through the awards to allow people to get away before the weather set in.
All in all a brilliant day and another achievement for the Max’d Car Club Cleethorpes Motor Show even bigger and better than 2008 so roll on 2010 so watch this space for the next years show date and get it into your diary so as not to miss it!
